Course Objectives

This prestigious course is organised on the basis of weekend attendance over two years and is delivered in Guernsey by Bournemouth University.

MSc Corporate Governance

The MSc Corporate Governance programme has been developed in close collaboration with the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA) to provide students with a highly specialised set of skills to develop the participant’s ability to appreciate and influence the factors governing corporate affairs.

The Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators

The ICSA is internationally recognised as the major professional body for corporate governance and company administration. It has laid down a qualifying scheme for students which comprises three stages: Foundation,
Pre-Professional and Professional.

Successful completion results in Graduate status of the Institute. Graduates may then apply for election to Associate Membership when they have accumulated sufficient relevant practical work experience.

To apply for the ICSA qualification there is a collaborative course fee of £500.

Target Audience / Entry Requirements

1st or 2nd-class Honours degree or equivalent professional/overseas qualification.
Non-graduates with relevant professional experience.

Fast-Track MSc Corporate Governance
The GTA University Centre is offering recently qualified members of the ICSA, and ACA, ACCA or CIMA-qualified members a fast-track route to achieving the award of an MSc in Corporate Governance. The programme has been closely developed with ICSA.

When taking the fast-track route, delegates are exempted from the first year of the course and join the second-year delegates. They must complete the four modules in this year and a dissertation of 15,000 words.
The next intake for the fast-track course is September 2011.
