Coaching and Mentoring for Leaders

Course Outline

A coaching style of leadership has been identified as one of the critical success factors in leading teams, departments and organisations. Coaching is one of the top developmental interventions for leaders: it adds real value to the bottom line as a tool for personal effectiveness, team performance and employee engagement. Mentoring uses a similar skill-set for transferring experience and skills, and opening doors for your rising stars, ensuring that key people are nurtured from within your organisation.


Each participant will receive the opportunity to complete the ‘Farsight Leadership' diagnostic tool, providing a leadership orientation report plus one hour one-to-one telephone coaching session.

Course Objectives

This is a one day workshop for senior managers and leaders to develop their coaching, mentoring and leadership skills. In this workshop participants will:

  • Explore the key leadership qualities and resonant leadership styles
  • Map your own leadership strengths
  • Share leadership experiences and network with senior colleagues in a confidential business environment
  • Develop your own coaching and mentoring skills
  • Gain an understanding of the Professional Leadership Coaching Model and how it aligns with leadership, performance and career challenges
  • Experience the power of leadership coaching for yourself
