Future Plans
The GTA University Centre has ambitious plans for its future development and its role in supporting training and development within the Bailiwick. We have been fortunate to receive generous support, endorsement and sponsorship from many parts of the commercial and finance sectors, the States, the professions, universities and the regulatory authorities. We will seek to work with these stakeholders to ensure that we offer high quality facilities and expertise in support of learning and training.
During the 2010 academic year, the GTA plans to offer a Businees Studies Foundation Degree on-island. Type "Foundation Degrees" into the search facility for further details of this new departure for undergraduate business education in Guernsey.
Our primary objective must always be to meet the needs of our delegates in ensuring that we procure and facilitate the best and most up-to-date training opportunities on their behalf. Our portfolio of programmes, will continue to grow in level, variety and method of study whilst at the same time we will expect to delete programmes from our schedule where demand is perceived to have been met.
We continue to focus on:
- Compliance
- Commercial Management and skills training
- Information technology and e-business
- Postgraduate and professional programmes
- Specialist conferences and seminars
The unique role of the GTA has been recognised and endorsed by various international delegations, education authorities and government agencies. We will seek to build upon this growing reputation to enhance the reputation of Guernsey and generate income to support training and education within the Bailiwick.
