Continuing Professional Development
The GTA is working with a number of professional bodies to facilitate joint CPD events.

Excellence in Training Award
In conjunction with the Institute of Directors, the GTA promotes the annual Excellence in Training Award which is presented at the Industry for Awards evening. The award exists to promote the importance of training in the development of island business, and is awarded in recognition of excellence shown in the design of training in line with organisation's objectives. Management Shadowing
The Management Shadowing programme is designed to allow sixth-form students from Guernsey schools to observe senior personnel in the workplace and learn about the role of the manager. It is also an opportunity for these students to learn more about the different types of organisations that make up the Guernsey business community.

Investors in People
The GTA manages the Investors in People project on behalf of the Commerce and Employment Department. Some 26 local companies have achieved the Standard, with a further 6 currently working towards recognition. Further details of the project can be found here or by contacting Fiona Naftel at the GTA.
