Employing Within the Law - Right to Work

Course Objectives

With very few exceptions, every person who is employed or self-employed in Guernsey must - at all times - hold a valid Right to Work document.  The Housing Department issues a number of different types of Right to Work document: some with expiry dates, some without; some with conditions limiting the validity of the document and some with no conditions at all.

This lunchtime seminar will provide information about Rigth to Work documents and about legal obligations placed upon employers and employees under the Right to Work Law.  It will also provide information about how to make applications for employment related housing licences and will explore the various stages of the application process.
