The GTA is once again delighted to host the Mourant Ozannes Summer Series of lectures. These lunchtime seminars will cover the following topics; recognising and dealing with fraud in the workplace; employers liability for the health and safety of employees; the nature of a Director’s liabilities and steps necessary to protect against claims of negligence, wrongful and fraudulent trading; an introduction to Probate and Wills; and finally a look at Conveyancing in Guernsey.


The GTA are delighted to announce that in partnership with Bournemouth University we are now able to offer a full-time business degree commencing September 2012. The BA (Hons) Business Studies will be fully taught in Guernsey by Bournemouth University lecturers. The degree will take 2 years to complete with an optional work placement either locally or in the UK.


The MSc Corporate Governance/ICSA provides students with a global perspective on this key area which is of fundamental importance to businesses and society globally. The GTA is very pleased to launch this popular masters programme on Wednesday 20June 2012 at 1.0pm at St Peter Port House.


If you are interested in a career in accountancy and a route onto ACCA’s professional programme, the GTA is delighted to be offering the Introductory Certificate in Financial and Management Accounting for the first time.


The GTA are delighted to be working in partnership with AO Hall in delivering the latest thinking and developments on a variety of key topics for HR and seniors managers.


Islanders planning to undertake higher education now have a new prospectus to refer to which will inform them about the range of courses that are available locally.


For those of you in the know, the GTA's Study Centre at Morningside House provides a welcome sanctuary for private study away from the distractions of work and home. Students do not have to be studying GTA courses to join as a member.


The GTA is pleased to publish the results of a recent IT survey into the provision of such training on-island. Commissioned by the GTA’s IT Advisory Group the survey looked at the range, quality and cost of IT training on-island with a view to establishing whether there were any gaps in the provision of IT training locally.


The GTA has been given the go-ahead to offer a business and mangement full honours programme on island from 2012. Delivered by lecturers from Bournemouth University, islanders can now study for a business degree without leaving the island.


In response to the new initiatives from the FSA, the GTA are pleased to be offering gap fill course modules between the RDR transitional qualifications and existing CISI qualifications.


Changing the face of business education in Guernsey
