What is 7% Talent Club?
In partnership with The Guernsey Press, we are delighted to be launching our new 7% Talent Club. The aim of this initiative is to address Guernsey's need for talented sales people, with the idea being to develop this talent within local businesses over the next five years.
Who can get involved?
We are looking to partner with seven additional businesses who need high-quality sales people and are willing to employ young individuals (straight from school or College) for three days a week, while they are being professionally trained. As the training will be cross-platform and product-based, there are no limitations on what categories of business are eligible to partner with us.
How does it work?
Designed for school leavers entering employment who are keen to develop a career in sales, successful applicants will attend our Sales Academy for two days a week. Here they will receive structured classroom sales training, delivered by experts. Everything they learn will directly relate to practical application within the partnering businesses. Participants will spend the remainder of each working week honing their new skills in their allocated place of work.
What happens at the end of the initiative?
At the end of the academic year, the individuals who successfully graduate with a qualification in sales will be guaranteed employment within their placement business. The process will then start again with the next cohort of school leavers and the cycle continues. For participating businesses, this means long-term future proofing, with a steady stream of qualified, highly skilled sales people entering their workforce annually.
