Public Lectures

The GTA is embracing changes in how it delivers training and development here in Guernsey and regularly hosts  lectures streamed live from outside the island.  The aim is to deliver high quality education and thought provoking lectures from well respected academics and business leaders followed by informal discussion within the local context.

We have identified several organisations and academic institutions that can provide us with a wide range of interesting lectures and we have also invested in new equipment to ensure that we can deliver the events to the highest possible standard.

The Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA) broadcasts one hour lunchtime and early evening lectures FREE through YouTube and the GTA streams some of these live at its training centre at St Peter Port House on Sausmarez Street.

The GTA believes it is important for people’s personal development to take time out, learn something new and hear a different perspective from experts inside and outside of the island. That can be difficult to do in today’s time pressured world but our hope is that by providing the opportunity, people will embrace the idea of lunchtime learning.
