Advanced Presentation Skills

Course Summary

An interactive programme designed to inform, support and challenge you on all aspects of presentation within the workplace.

Introduction

The programme runs over four sessions, one full day and three two hour lunchtime seminars. You will also receive a 1.5 hour one to one review session to explore progress, key learning points and the next steps.

Session One – Presentation Skills Nuts and Bolts

A one day interactive course providing you with the opportunity to consider the theories, practicalities and challenges faced when making presentations. Topics covered will

include:

. How to Prepare

. What to Prepare

. Presentation Techniques

  • Selling
  • Persuading
  • Updating
  • Informing

. The Delivery

. Establishing Outcomes

. How to Evaluate

Session Two – ‘Formal Presentations’

This two-hour refresher session, focuses on the specific requirements of a presenter making a formal presentation. Following on from the session, you will be given a specific related task to complete prior to the next session.

Session Three – ‘Meetings’

This session focuses on how people present within a meeting, either through chairing the meeting or covering specific agenda items. Following on from the session, you will be given a specific related task to complete prior to the next session.

Session Four – Personal Presentations

This session considers how you present yourself, both internally and in a networking environment. Following on from the session, you will be given a specific related task to complete prior to the next session.

Review Meeting

This final session is a one – to – one between the tutor and you. It enables you to review your learning, progress and identify on-going development, aims and objectives.

You will be required to commit to the four mandatory sessions, the review meeting will be coordinated to accommodate you.
