We are only human after all – Introduction to Investors in People

This session will bring together “What makes high-performing organisations different? How are they impacting and engaging with their teams? How does HR & People development fit into the mix?” In our session we want to bring together knowledge and experience we have gained from working with high-performing organisations with Investors in People version 6. We will highlight what has made them that way and will provide practical examples that will assist businesses to “stay human”. Working with people is never easy and often we think “our way” is the best way.

Join us for breakfast to hear about how Investors in People can drive continuous improvement within your organization, help you achieve your business objectives and leave with some top tips that can make a difference.

  • People who are looking for an overview of Investors in People to help improve organisational performance;
  • Employers who want to explore how they can work towards being a high-performing organization.

By the end of the session you will have:

  • Explored the Investors in People Standard and its benefits;
  • Hear an overview of the standard and how it can make a difference to you.

It is easy to get caught up on the treadmill of life and for everyone to say how busy they are, yet the challenge we face is - How do know we are working on the right things and how are we measuring our business success.

Tutor Profile

Janine Lane is an experienced Learning & Development practitioner, a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD; Janine has been driving change and continuous improvement, with over 18 years’ in People Development and 12 years of working with the Investors in People framework.

As a Business Partner in Learning & Development, Janine has held a variety of L & D roles including leading teams on learning and development, performance management, internal communications and employee engagement.

Many of her roles have involved transforming cultures, developing and implementing L & D strategies and championing change; Janine is motivated to ensure that development is at the heart of the people strategy. Janine works as part of the International HR team at Nedbank Private Wealth who are in the Top 100 Best Companies to work for, Investors in People Gold and a Platinum Partner in the STEP Employer Partnership Programme.
