We are delighted to invite you to this free lunchtime seminar which looks at the importance of good governance in the charitable sector.

A charity is best placed to achieve its ambitions and aims if it has effective governance and the right leadership structures. Skilled and capable trustees will help a charity attract resources and put them to best use. Good governance enables and supports a charity’s compliance with relevant legislation and regulation and promotes attitudes and a culture where everything works towards fulfilling the charity’s vision.

This event will address the following questions: What Does Good Governance look like? Why Does Good Governance Matter? And How Can You Improve Good Governance in Your Organisation? There will also be time for you to ask any questions you may have.

12:40: Lessons in Good Governance for the Charitable Sector – Talk by Will Morgan of Offshore Consulting

13:10: The NED Development Programme – Presentation on a free mentoring scheme to upskill trustees and directors on Charitable Boards by Simon Le Tocq (CEO of the GTA University Centre) and Tina Torode (NED Development Programme Co-ordinator and Co-Founder of the NED Forum)

13:30: Question and Answer Session (Jim Roberts, Will Morgan, Tina Torode, Simon Le Tocq)
