Policing the Rogues: GTA University Centre and Carey Olsen Employment Law Half Day Conference

Policing the Rogues - So what do you do when an employee turns rogue?

Please join the GTA University Centre and Carey Olsen for this half-day conference on Wednesday 30 January 2019, designed to inform you about what you can and should do when one of your employees goes rogue and, just as importantly, what you should not do! We will cover your legal responsibilities and the areas of risk and potential liability. The interactive session follows a day in the working life of a rogue employee, Roger. Carey Olsen's acting skills will be put to the test as they navigate their way through Roger's busy day. We will follow Roger's early morning data activity, review his lunchtime social media activity and consider his afternoon behaviour towards his co-workers, as well as his attempt to comply with regulatory standards. And should you need any more excitement, just wait till we tell you about his after-hours conduct…. it is so good, it is almost criminal – but that is for you to decide!

We promise to deliver a fun and informative morning. The content will touch on many aspects of employment law and how it interacts with other areas, such as data protection, criminal liability, regulatory risks, vicarious liability and harassment. We - and especially Roger - look forward to seeing you.

Registration and breakfast refreshments is from 8.00am, and the conference starts at 8.30am.
