We are pleased to announce that the GTA has been awarded re-accreditation against the Investors in People Standard, demonstrating our commitment to high performance through good people management. Our role is to contribute to the Bailiwick’s economic success by providing quality training to the local workforce. We employ 16 people at our Union Street training centre, and we have been trading as a not-for-profit since 1996. In 2006 we were accredited as a University Centre of Bournemouth University in recognition of our infrastructure and the support we give our students. We also help organisations across Guernsey to discover the Investors in People (IIP) Standard, the benefits of a people focused approach and the steps towards assessment and accreditation. Investors in People is the international standard for people management, defining what it takes to lead, support and manage people effectively to achieve sustainable results. Underpinning the Standard is the Investors in People framework, reflecting the latest workplace trends, essential skills and effective structures required to outperform in any industry. Investors in People enables organisations to benchmark against the best in the business on an international scale. Paul Devoy, Head of Investors in People, said:
