GTA University Centre is launching a new ‘out of hours’ learning experience to help upskill the island’s workforce.

In conjunction with Southampton Business School, the GTA is offering free access to seminars covering a range of relevant topics. The first will be held on 28 June at 6.15pm and will examine leadership and the role of strategy.

‘The GTA’s aim is to upskill the island’s workforce by encouraging lifelong learning and development. This can be difficult for people to do in today’s time-pressured world, so we hope that offering learning outside of usual working hours will be an appealing way to enable continuous personal development,’ said Kate Lenfestey, Head of University Programmes at the GTA.

‘Thanks to our strong links with Southampton University we are very pleased to be able to benefit from access to their monthly evening seminars run by Southampton Business School. Expert speakers from academia or industry will explore hot topics in their field, and share unique insight and research findings. The aim to help people expand their thinking and see industry topics in a new light, preparing them to approach business challenges in new ways.’

The GTA will also live stream selected one-hour lunchtime lectures broadcast by The Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA).
