New Appointments for 2019 at GTA University Centre

GTA strengthens its team with new expertise

The GTA University Centre has strengthened its team with three new appointments.

The GTA contributes to the economic success of the Bailiwick by working in partnership with businesses and individuals to provide high-quality training and advice and key to its success is its team of Programmes Managers.

“The strength of the GTA lies in the fact that we are nimble and customer-facing and able to respond quickly to training needs at both an organisational and Bailiwick level. Our team of Programmes Managers are out speaking to industry on a daily basis to understand local training needs. In this way we can ensure that the GTA course offering is relevant and up to date but more than this we also seek to ensure that the courses we offer deliver improved performance for both employee and employer,” explained Head of Programmes Michelle Morley. “I am delighted we have been able to strengthen the team and their skills are already being put to use in developing new courses for the Bailiwick”.

Camilla Hobbs, has a legal background having practiced as an advocate in the Isle of Man and Guernsey. Camilla worked as an advocate for 12 years and will oversee finance and law courses:

“As an advocate I recognise the importance of keeping up-to-date on regulatory changes and accordingly being skillful at applying learning in a daily role. My experience helps me to ensure that the GTA keeps abreast of new changes and trends and that clients receive the training which meets their business needs.”

Julie joined the GTA in 2017 having worked in hospitality and recruitment in the UK and Guernsey for the past 20 years. She was promoted to Programmes Manager earlier this year and is responsible for the portfolio of Leadership & Management and Personal Development courses within the GTA.

Julie is passionate about delivering a high level of service to customers and clients ensuring that individual requirements are met in a friendly, professional and responsible manner.

In addition to two new Programmes Managers the GTA has appointed Caterina Allaway to the role of Marketing Manager. Caterina brings her creativity and campaign experience in the arts, education and charitable sectors. With a passion for life-long learning herself, Caterina is a champion for a continued education at all stages in life. She will be able to channel her energy into sharing the services and opportunities available at the GTA University Centre for the Bailiwick.
