Information session - The Modern Employment Relationship in Practice

Course Overview

Please join us at this free lunchtime session to find out more information about 'The Modern Employment Relationship Practice Programme' delivered in partnership with Compass Jersey and Dexter Flynn, Voisin Law.

This pan island CMI Accredited programme is designed to equip HR, line managers and small business owners with the knowledge of how to recognise and mitigate employment and discrimination risk as it arises in day to day practice and to act with confidence, consistency and with an appropriate evidence trail when it does. The emphasis throughout the programme is on organisational action rather than recall: what to do, what to say, what to write down and when to escalate.

Course Content

Each workshop starts from the risk not the law and opens with a situation that delegates will recognise and will work backwards to the legal framework.

The programme will cover six 1 day workshops as follows:

  • Fair process and evidence trial.
  • Hidden Disabilities, Neurodiversity and Reasonable Adjustments
  • Duty of Care, Fitness for Work and Impairment
  • Sexual Harassment and the Preventative Duty
  • Return to Office, Flexible Working and Changing Established Patterns
  • Long-Term Sickness Absence and Return to Work
